Geometría del Saber: Retrato Abstracto de la Lectora, 2026

Silvia Cereijo

This sumptuously refined, intellectual, and captivating work in acrylic on canvas is inserted within the contemporary figurative abstract style with marked influences of synthetic cubism, orphism, fauvism, and Art Deco, standing out for its impeccable deconstruction of space into a network of faceted planes and firm linear contours. The composition presents a woman sitting in an absorbed and reflective attitude while holding an open book, integrated into an architectural environment rigorously fragmented by dynamic geometries. The artist deploys a bold and balanced color palette dominated by rich tones of cobalt blue, earthy ochre, orange, deep black, and flesh tones, delimited by precise lines that bring rhythm, structure, and distinction to the entire scene. Through this formal synthesis and the stylization of the human figure, the creator seeks to express the depth of intellectual concentration, the stillness of wisdom, and the poetic beauty that emerges when a daily act of reading is transformed into a lyrical kaleidoscope of color, balance, and plastic transcendence.
