Description
Najoua El Hitmi leads her life as a quest to gather a vibrant world of traditions where sacred and modernity melt. Her paintings result in the temerity of forms where the light of letters slides inside her paintings sometimes revealing the discreet presence of all manifestations matrix. The world language unifies and mirrors itself inside her paintings. Inside the rippling colors, to vibrations, hides her subtle love for the living and all the art sourced from it, inside the interweaving of curves and letters, the body keeps quiet and the spirit settles.
When Najoua is painting, all her body is suspended as in an intimate conversation. What her heart then sees, she gives it for us to see, her presence in the instant is so intense that it becomes as a mediation, as a go-between with what remains beyond ourselves. Her hand then starts moving, and each line, each color, melts into a mirror of what is inside us and in a brief glimmer, degree by degree, revealing it as if suddenly our eyes were made wide open. To stay near Najoua when she is painting is a precious moment where one is grazed, wrapped, led towards the heart of what inhabits her, and which is also ours.
Longing in the contemplation of her paintings is a privilege and puts us in touch with an essential sweetness, an amplitude of all our being, it opens the doors to the peace inside us, in that respect, I dare to say, that they carry an healing potential. Her paintings are a gift from her great generosity and her complete sincerity.
I nourish the wish that you let yourself illuminate, embrace and overturn by her paintings...

Presentation
Najoua El Hitmi was born in 1978 in Tangiers in Morocco, where she still lives. She studied tourism and became a travel agent. Her career led her to travel across the globe, exploring all it had to offer in terms of nature and people. During these experiences, she educated herself to enhance her personal development, including learning about sophrology, so as to be able to begin the art of introspection through painting.
Her passion and spontaneity when creating her paintings can immediately be felt. Her artwork conveys her love for mankind and the beauty of the world. It lifts our spirits by awakening our inner self, deeply buried within us, allowing it to be expressed and to be changed from immanent to transcendent.
Her work, which stands out with its real diversity, oscillates between hallowed tradition and modernity. The depicted shapes, which show different shades of light, could be interpreted as a « global language ».
