Description
A Thousand Nostalgias in the Night is a beautiful painting realized by the contemporary artist Li Lei in 2007.

This vertical contemporary artwork shows an abstract composition with a bright white background and splashes of blue and purple on top of it. The white background is not homogeneous, the brushstrokes and drips of paint are clearly visible. The purple stains stand out the most from the surface of the canvas.

What really distinguishes this artist from any other is his naturalness when creating his artworks. He reinvents the relation between artist and creative process, from the concept to the final product, gaining recognition as one of the major protagonists of Chinese contemporary painting.
