Description
This vibrant and bold artwork presents a stylized anthropomorphic figure with a simplified yet expressive design. The cylindrical form of the body is marked by a richly saturated color palette, dominated by tones of purple and orange, which strongly contrast with the bright blue and yellow background, immediately drawing attention. Presentation
Seth One, born in 1977 in Paris, was influenced by the proliferation of tags and graffiti in Paris and its suburbs during the 1980s. He began his graffiti work in the 1990s as part of the STS and CLM groups, actively engaging with the numerous urban surfaces the city offers.
His work on canvas developed later, driven by the desire to approach the dynamics of his letters in a different way than on walls. This process, which he named "Graffolyse," involves the dissolution of the letter, its degradation, giving way to components, ornaments, dynamic forms, and strong lines to create a snapshot of movement.
This transformation is further enriched by various influences such as pop art, primitive arts, and the imagery of 90s skate, surf, and comic culture.
