Ricky Cohete   Emerging artists

He brings hints of the fauna of his native South American vibrant and passionate colors. Bringing them into this obscure space he hopes to ignite the imagination of the world that surrounds his subjects in the pictures. Like a dream within the landscapes of classical renaissance paintings. The artist uses a vivid contrast of color to add an extra dimension in the movement and shadows of each piece. Almost giving a glimpse, outside of the nostalgia, of his -black & whites- and sepias. Evoking a sense of freedom and liberation.*

This striking black and white artwork captures a poised male figure against a stark, dark backdrop. The play of light and shadow accentuates the muscular definition and sinewy strength of the subject, highlighting the human form in raw, artistic beauty. The figure strikes an elegant, dynamic pose, suggesting movement and fluidity, while simultaneously portraying introspection and strength. The backdrop's texture contrasts with the smoothness of the skin, creating a compelling visual tension. The choice of monochrome adds a timeless quality, evoking classic sculptures, yet the contemporary pose infuses modern dynamism. This artwork is a testament to the expressive potential of the human body, blending classical inspirations with modern sensibilities, capturing a moment that is at once powerful and serene.
