Ricky Cohete   Emerging artists

Exploring color in the darkness, inspired by the Italian and Dutch renaissance. He brings hints of the fauna of his native South American vibrant and passionate colors. Bringing them into this obscure space he hopes to ignite the imagination of the world that surrounds his subjects in the pictures. Like a dream within the landscapes of classical renaissance paintings. The artist uses a vivid contrast of color to add an extra dimension in the movement and shadows of each piece. Almost giving a glimpse, outside of the nostalgia, of his -black & whites- and sepias. Evoking a sense of freedom and liberation.*

This monochromatic photograph exquisitely captures the raw and powerful form of the human body in motion. The subject, posed in an intricate, almost serpentine position, conveys both strength and vulnerability against a stark black background. The artist masterfully employs light and shadow to emphasize the contours and musculature, creating a striking contrast that highlights the body's physicality and grace. The curvature of the spine and limbs suggests a dynamic interplay between tension and fluidity, inviting viewers to contemplate the duality of human existence. The absence of color shifts the focus entirely onto form and texture, provoking a deeper appreciation of the body's natural architecture. This arresting image is a testament to the beauty of human anatomy and the artistic potential of minimalist compositions.
