Juan Pablo Castro

The artist's photographs capture the transformation of everyday life into another reality. Images that explore what the future will be like. Industrial, eccentric and progressive, Castro's vision is a combination of different influences that translate into deconstructed images. Castro has surrounded himself with art, inspiration and creative sources that have enriched his work and the way he perceives the world around him.

Juan Pablo’s visual journey is quite unique. His body of work explores new vanguards and the boundaries of his imagination. Bold images taken from his particular world give us expert photographs and videos where fashion, color and expression collide.

This artwork showcases a striking vintage facade with the word "MILAN" prominently displayed in bold, golden-yellow letters. The background features a textured, weathered surface that adds an industrial feel, enhanced by vertical metal rods extending upwards. Each rod is topped with minimalistic, colorful shapes—flags and squares in vibrant hues of blue, yellow, red, and orange—creating a rhythmical pattern that draws the viewer's eye upward. The juxtaposition of the bright colors against the subdued, aged wall injects a sense of nostalgia and vibrancy. The additional red paneling to the right complements and contrasts with the main structure, adding depth and a modern architectural element. This piece masterfully blends retro signage with geometric abstraction, offering a bold visual statement that captures the intersection of history and contemporary design aesthetics.
