Description
This artwork presents an aerial view of an intricately designed highway interchange, showcasing the symmetrical beauty and complexity of urban infrastructure. The composition highlights the fluidity of curved concrete pathways, with meticulously placed lane markings and arrows directing an unseen flow of traffic. Alternating patterns of gray asphalt and occasional green patches add a striking contrast, underscoring the interaction between human engineering and nature. The artist skillfully captures the interplay of light and shadow on the road surfaces, enhancing the dimensionality and dynamism of the scene. Notably, the absence of vehicles in this expansive urban landscape instills a sense of calm and isolation, inviting viewers to reflect on the often-overlooked artistry in everyday structures. This piece masterfully transforms a mundane subject into a captivating visual experience, merging elements of geometry and minimalism.
Programmed Human is a photographic project that aims to subvert the conventional perception of a bustling modern city. Through a series of cenital landscape photographs, a desolate urban sprawl is revealed, stripped of the usual rush of cars and people. The juxtaposition of emptiness against familiar urban landmarks creates a surreal setting. In this deliberate depiction of abandonment, the project highlights the chaotic and congested symphony that typically envelops city life but often goes unnoticed.
The absence of human activity in the images represents the ultimate paradox. By removing the typical visual and auditory markers of a crowded city, the project exposes the invisible layers of noise and disruption that permeate our urban existence.
