Description
This timelessly elegant black and white work captivates the viewer with its bold composition. Dominated by opulent fur, the anonymous subject is transformed into an image of mysterious elegance. The crossed legs add a subtle dynamism, intensified by the strong shadows and striking contrasts of light. The heeled sandals accentuate the femininity and sophistication of the scene. In the background, the uncluttered setting enhances the visual impact, highlighting the refined details of the fur's texture and the graceful curve of the legs. Each element is precisely matched, offering a captivating visual narrative that blends classical aesthetics with serene modernity. This work, signed at the bottom, reveals a careful study of the human form and its materials, inspiring both admiration and contemplation.
Presentation
Steps :
To talk about my work, you have to go back to the origins.
The 70s, with the beginning of fine photographic art, the meeting with photographers Ralph Gibson and Duane Michals both on the line of demarcation, where reality becomes abstract.
It was therefore towards a creation diametrically opposed to that of conceptual photography that I was moving towards, a creation where there is no difference between the imaginary and reality. I decided then that my photos will not show, will not explain, will not question. They will open the doors to emotions.
I like to quote Gerhard Richter: "I obey no intention, no system, no tendency.. I like uncertainty, infinity and permanent insecurity". Bio:
Even though I became interested in music at a very young age through the piano, I always felt like a photographer. Always a matter of perspective. First more on the side of black and white than color.
The meeting with Helmut Newton, whose assistant I was, opened the doors to the world of fashion where I made a career working for the main French and Italian fashion magazines.
Today visual artist photography has replaced fashion and it is no longer in magazines but in French and foreign galleries that my work is exhibited.
