Description
Magali Leonard's work creates a silent dialogue between body and writing. The body, caught between folds and creases, does not position itself on the side of figuration. Covered in written traces, the body is immersed in the sensation of a skin-body traversed by fluid, unnarrated words. Illegible murmurs take shape. When words cease to mean anything, from line to withdrawal, what is revealed is what is given in disappearing. At this moment, photography and its confrontation begin.
