Description
Alfie Bowen has captured the majestic profile of this striking animal highlighting the lion's regal mane, flowing with an almost tactile texture. Appearing soft yet powerful, framing the focused gaze of the lion as it looks resolutely into the distance. This artwork uniquely conveys the essence of power and grace embodied by the lion, making it a compelling focal point that commands attention and respect.
I have photographed the lion many times, but I still get the same buzz everytime I come face-to-face with the king of Africa, and this moment from 2019 is one of my favourite encounters – Alfie Bowen
Presentation
Alfie Bowen began photographing for the first time in 2014 due to his interest in life in our natural world.
He was tired of seeing little to do about the situation in front of many species around the world and so he decided to use his love of photography to educate the public. Alfie says, "People tend to worry more about the things they love, I hope people will fall in love with our natural world so we can save them before it's too late. We share planet Earth with many other species and it is our responsibility to care for them and ensure that they thrive for future generations.
the mundane. "The hours are invested in every room to ensure they are of the highest quality. Bowen's work has been shown by the BBC and hung in houses in Spain, America and France. The year 2017 saw his first personal exhibition hours Bowen's work is not only a beautiful representation of our natural world, but also a solid investment: the value of his work continues to grow.
