"RED I" represents the chromatic culmination of the "Vacuum Tubes Consciousness" series. Here, Carles Prat-Placis captures the precise moment when pure energy seems to ignite at the base of the tube, transforming a vintage electronic component into a vibrant, organic icon.
The incandescent red light does more than simply illuminate the object; it symbolizes the manifestation of consciousness at the heart of matter. The rigorous vertical composition, emphasized by a zenithal beam of light, lends the work an almost sacred dimension. It is an exploration of the duality between the coldness of the glass and the warmth of the energy flow within it.
As with the entire collection, the artist weaves an invisible connection with the telluric energies of the Canigó massif, offering a vision where technology becomes the vessel of a universal life force.

Presentation
Born in 1969, a self-taught photographer, Carles bought his first camera at the age of 14. Two years later, he made his first photographic exhibition. Freelance photographer for several newspapers, photo-journalist for artistic events, passionate about nature where he finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
In 1999 he founded MAG Grup, a company dedicated to industrial and artistic photography, a high quality printing service and the creation of websites.
Eight years later he moved to Ceret (French Catalonia) and founded MAG Arts, where he is developing the more artistic aspects of his work as a photographer, graphic designer, webmaster and arts collaborater.
« As a photographer, he takes off on his motorbike on the hunt for the image, the moment…., spending hours immersed in his universe, where he encounters the subjects of his compositions. In many of his oeuvres, Carles portrays images that are also found in the Japanese aesthetic of Wabisabi in the way that his photographs capture the largely unnoticed beauty of the simple, modest and humble that is all around us. They show us the impermanence of things and the beauty of the old, worn and decomposing. Many images are captured from an unusual angle forcing the viewer to look at things from a new perspective. He invites the viewer to see with different eyes…, he shows us images that highlight graphic shapes using light, shadow and simple lines. »
