Description
A monumental projection dominates the scene, overlooking an anonymous crowd. The human silhouettes, reduced to dark shapes, emphasize the imposing scale of the projected Mona Lisa image.
The reflective floor creates a perfect mirror. This symmetry transforms the space into an almost dreamlike place.
The work on composition guides the gaze towards the horizon, mixing urban rigor and visual poetry.
This digital photograph, taken in 2024, is part of a constant exploration of solitude within the city.
The precise framing highlights the graphic play of the architectural lines and the fluidity of the water.
Presentation
French photographer born in 1982, Fabien Olart discovered photography as a teenager through the photos of Lee Miller, Dorothea Lange and Sebastião Salgado.
After studying communications and image, he became a collaborator with the hemis.fr agency, specializing in tourism and travel. Regularly published in the press (Le Monde, Détours en France, Maxi, Marianne…) as well as in publishing (Gallimard, Hachette, Michelin Edition…), his productions are above all produced in Europe.
Member of the Street Photography France collective, it is in black and white that his sensitivity is most expressed. Attracted by urban life, his work is characterized by spontaneous, highly contrasted photography, playing between light and shadow. The human, often solitary, remains an important element of its production, while being integrated into urban or natural landscapes.
