This black and white photograph captures the imposing presence of the Fountain of Neptune in Florence's Piazza della Signoria. The sculpture, a masterpiece by Bartolomeo Ammannati, showcases Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, standing proudly at the center, his robust figure carved from pristine marble. The contrast between light and shadow accentuates the detailed musculature and intense expression on Neptune’s face. Surrounding him are dynamic figures of mythical sea creatures, adding a sense of movement and life. The backdrop of historical Florentine architecture further enriches the scene, blending art and history seamlessly. The monochrome palette lends a timeless quality, emphasizing textures and forms over color, creating a captivating interplay between the artwork and its urban surroundings. This image masterfully highlights the Renaissance grandeur and enduring legacy of public art in Florence.
Presentation
Starting during his industrial design studies where he connected with shape, structure and movement, Juan Pablo’s visual journey is quite unique. His body of work explores new vanguards and the boundaries of his own imagination. Bold images taken from his particular world give us expert photographs and videos where fashion, color and expression collide.
His work has been featured in Vogue Mexico, L’Officiel, Elle Arabia and Elle Decor magazines; creating content for luxury brands like Burberry and Montblanc; and in public exhibitions presented by Ralph Pucci International and by Miami Beach Convention Center during Art Basel. Juan Pablo is rapidly becoming a favorite photographer for Miami’s top creators and artists.
