Description
Despite my dislike for N., I have achieved it, after long hours and four different collages... the echo to Joachim and Ridley is a mere coincidence.
Here is a highway to hell Napoleon, epitome of the romantic hero rocking on the flames of an ever swollen ego. He pictures himself as an audacious rider saving mankind, honestly believing that the moonlight and the uniqueness of genius justify the bloodbath such destinies induce. Out of the blue, these characters come from nowhere and end nowhere, nurtured on the vacuum of a world revolving around themselves.
Presentation
A Parisian product mixed with Brussels freshness, I work on collages in which I try to show the beauty and harshness of our world, to bear witness to the suffering and joy that we can experience in our fragile but magnificent universe.
I am particularly touched by our collective experience of being the sons of a civilization that has ended up endangering life on earth. This dramatic experience finally prevents us from fleeing the questions that comfort and consumption allowed us to dodge.
Finally, the blind and heavy waters withdraw, carry us away, open up to give us back life.
