Description
Based on Da Vinci's famous "Mona Lisa" painting, emerging artist Ripoff creates a "thought provoking" piece with a simple message using his signature style and ironic commentary - "Eat shit, and Die".
This print is a special edition variant printed on beautiful 260gsm Metallic Gold Finestra paper.
Medium: Archival pigment print on 260gsm Metallic Gold Finestra paper
Provenance: Signed and numbered by Ripoff in pen with publishing chops in lower right corner. Comes with original COA.
Edition: Limited Edition of 40 (edition number will be random)
Presentation
RipOff is an up and coming artist who explores the derivative state of the art market and the current era of manufactured artists. His work is a response to the ongoing exploitation of Disney characters, Banksy mashups, and Mona Lisa renditions flooding the art world.
He is quoted as saying "As a self-proclaimed art snob with very little education on the subject, if you buy this trash and think it looks cool, your opinion is wrong and you should buy my trash instead".
