Description
Based on Banksy's latest "Create Escape" mural that suddenly popped up on the outer wall of a British jail at the beginning of March, emerging artist Ripoff creates a thought provoking piece with a simple message using his signature style and ironic commentary.
This print is a special edition variant printed on beautiful 340gsm High-gloss Metallic Finish Hahnemuhle paper. Much more stunning in person, it emits a pearl-like shine.
Printed in-house at Post Modern Vandal
Medium: Archival pigment print on 340gsm High-gloss Metallic Finish Hahnemuhle paper
Provenance: Signed and numbered by Ripoff in pen. Comes with original COA.
Presentation
RipOff is an up and coming artist who explores the derivative state of the art market and the current era of manufactured artists. His work is a response to the ongoing exploitation of Disney characters, Banksy mashups, and Mona Lisa renditions flooding the art world.
He is quoted as saying "As a self-proclaimed art snob with very little education on the subject, if you buy this trash and think it looks cool, your opinion is wrong and you should buy my trash instead".
