Blinky Palermo (born Peter Heisterkamp 1943-1977) was an influential figure in post-war German abstraction. A student of Joseph Beuys, Palermo adopted his pseudonym in 1964borrowing the name of an American mobster and boxing promoteras an ironic gesture reflecting the conceptual currents of the time.
Palermos oeuvre bridges painting, object art, and minimalism, with clear influences from American artists such as Donald Judd. His work is recognized for its exploration of color, structure, and material presence, often through deceptively simple geometries and quiet gestures.
Work is professionally framed in our own frame-shop, mounted floating in a custom-made, acid-free passe-partout and presented in a deep, handcrafted black wooden frame with Plexiglas® Optical HC, which is UV-resistant and scratch-resistant and provides exceptional clarity and an intense viewing experience. Size framed approx. 55 x 45 cm.
