Description
This striking screen print by Paul Wunderlich was created in 1970 as part of the artistic program leading up to the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Executed on strong wove paper, the composition presents a stylized human torso set within a precise geometric framework, combining anatomical imagery with symmetrical arcs and symbolic forms. The deep, saturated colors and refined line work reflect Wunderlich's distinctive blend of surrealism, symbolism, and classical reference.
The work is hand-signed and dated in pencil by the artist at the lower right and numbered in pencil at the lower left. The work bears the printer's dry stamp and verso the copyright stamp © EDITION OLYMPIA 1972 GmbH 1970 Matthieu AG Zurich.
