With The New End Boss, SKE subverts the universe of the cult video game by propelling it into a pop, street art and delightfully contemporary interpretation.
Here, Mario no longer faces Bowser, Piranha Plants, or Red Shells: the true final boss seems to be elsewhere. Behind Peach, now an elegant, almost untouchable figure, Mario advances laden with bags from major luxury brands. Louis Vuitton, Dior, Rolex, and other nods to iconic labels replace the coins, mushrooms, and power-ups of the original game. The quest is no longer just to save the princess: now it's about surviving the next level of desire, shopping, and prestige.
The work humorously plays on the new symbols of power in our time. Luxury bags become trophies, gold coins fly out as if in a bonus level, and Mario, the quintessential popular hero, finds himself transformed into the official bearer of the kingdom of consumerism.
The slogan “The New End Boss", stenciled onto a bare wall, gives the scene its full satirical force. SKE lightly questions our relationship to brands, social status and image, while maintaining an immediate, accessible and very pop visual energy.
Blending homage to gaming culture, nods to the Nintendo universe, a subversion of luxury codes, and street art aesthetics, The New End Boss stands out as a funny, biting, and perfectly timed piece. It reminds us that today, the final boss may no longer have a castle: he wears heels, loves iconic bags… and costs far more than an extra life.

SKE is a self-taught, all-around French artist who was immersed in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting , collage , stenciling , graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, combine the raw energy of street art and the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE's popularity has risen remarkably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master competition (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, solidifying his place on the contemporary art scene.
