Description
explore the invisible links that unite individuals. Through characters with deliberately expressionless faces and button-shaped eyes, Suanjaya Kencut invites everyone to project their own emotions, memories, and questions. The buttons become the symbol of the threads that connect beings to each other, while the silence of the gazes reminds us that each person carries an inner world that others cannot fully grasp.
Inspired by her universe nourished by Balinese culture, repetitive patterns, and vibrant colors, this work evokes the importance of listening, empathy, and dialogue.
Its adaptation in embroidery naturally extends this reflection: the thread brings a new materiality to the image, revealing a tactile depth, a subtle play of light, and a physical presence that enrich the composition without altering the spirit. Each embroidery stitch translates time, care, and know-how, transforming the work into an object where painting and craftsmanship meet.
Made in Lyon in French workshops certified EPV (), this edition is produced according to the highest quality standards, combining artisanal know-how, innovation, and manufacturing excellence.

Adi Suanjaya "Kencut", I Putu
Educated at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Indonesian Arts Institute, in Yogyakarta, I Putu Adi Suanjaya "Kencut" is an artist from Bali famous for his buttonhole puppet figures. Through bold colors and lines, he presents a world of parody through his figures as a form of human reflection today. Kencut presents the subject of doll-shaped creatures with buttons that are presented in the form of paintings, sculptures and installations. It has a characteristic emphasis on contrasting colors and line strength.
The characters in Kencut's works are presented like dolls but are actually representations of humans and their lives. These inanimate puppets show a fragment scene of human life that contains a reflection on the current human situation. He has many solo exhibitions, among others: at Artotel Gajah Mada Semarang in 2020 and at Artotel Sanur in 2019. He has also participated in group exhibitions: including the Intention Please!b exhibition at Edwin Gallery, Jakarta 2020, 2019 Salon at Langgeng Art Foundation Yogyakarta, and Celebration of the Future, ABBC Building, 2019 and Art Jakarta, Rachel Gallery, 2018.
