Nu sur fond rouge, 2021

Franck Sadock

"Doesn't the sculptor act of adoration when he sees the grandiose nature of the forms he studies, when, from the middle of the passing lines, he knows how to release the eternal type of each being (...)?" (Rodin).

Far from the author of the "Baiser", but at the borderline of his aesthetic stakes, the sculptor Franck Sadock creates "flesh". Bodies of plaster, isolated or piled up like a contemporary high relief, they are moving, human and spectral, silent and talkative, poetic and eloquent, white but hatched with chrome, solid materials, but crossed by symbolic emptiness, to comment, in the present time, between screams and whisperings, a French political life based on debate and argumentation.
