Description
The artist explores the female silhouette with surgical precision. The body is outlined through a meticulous assembly of copper rings. Each ring is cut by hand. The diameters vary to embrace the natural curves of the bust.
The metal fades to make way for the light. The transparency creates a play of void and fullness. The geometric structure then becomes a metallic lace. The rigor of the material contrasts with the softness of the suggested forms.
This sculpture rests on a sober, black base. The copper, worked with patience, brings an airy dimension to the whole. The balance between industrial technique and organic sensitivity defines the author's approach. The composition focuses on the essence of the nude, transforming the decorative object into a modern anatomical study. The whole is finalized by the application of acrylic.

Yohan Plu is an artist from Vendée, who is part of the current trendy universe of art.
The material takes the light, even invites to be caressed... He quickly felt the need to model, weld, grind, create, express and be expressed, yes but what and how?
He will simply tell you the expression of feelings through the body and its attitudes, I would tell you that he has the audacity to make essentially women's bodies paradoxically as graceful and sensual.
He specializes in working with copper, which he particularly likes for its lightness and malleability. With his experience, he painstakingly develops, out of sight, his own recognizable style.
Yohan Plu is a true pioneer. He is currently the only artist to create female busts in copper rings. Cut one by one by hand, he selects, assembles and welds each washer - of different diameters - to give birth to female bodies. This unique feature allows him to put his touch and his personality in the immense universe of sculpture.
