Description
Icarus is a sculpture full of hidden meanings. In addition to the obvious mythological meaning and its aesthetics derived from ancient statuary, the work used to create the bronze is made using “frame keys”, these triangular pieces of wood used to tighten the frames of the works on canvas. Often forgotten, or ignored due to its apparent uselessness, the key here is a metonymy used to designate the artist as a whole.
What meaning can be given to his creations, to the goal of such an enterprise, vain in essence just like Icarus' flight near the sun?
Icare summarizes the artist's questions and doubts in a single place, where the material makes as much sense as the construction.
