Description
Aleksy Kowalski is a perfectionist artist who expresses his sensitivity through sculptures rich in meaning. He particularly cherishes the curves of the human body, which he depicts in his creations.
He cuts, shapes, assembles, welds, sands, and polishes raw metal to reveal a unique emotion in each sculpture.
Aleksy Kowalski's metal sculptures amaze with their abundance of impressive details and the authority they exude. In this piece, he presents us with a deconstructed female silhouette crafted from steel washers.
Presentation
The story began in the family ironworks in Poland.
He spent his childhood with his grandfather, who raised him and taught him the secrets of metalwork, which is how Aleksy discovered and learned the trade.
He began by supporting his grandfather in the creation of gates, railings and decorative objects.
Then, having learned and had access to the family's welding workshop, he started to learn metal sculpting: the passion was born...
