This striking, precisely framed visual art piece immediately captures attention with its flamboyant central motif and meticulous composition. In the center, a stylized flame shape, a deep, vibrant blue, dominates the scene. This flame, with careful contours and fluid lines, seems to dance with contained energy, symbolizing both passion and transformation. Around this central flame, delicate butterflies, meticulously attached to the work, flutter. The butterflies, of various sizes, alternate between shades of blue and white, creating a harmonious contrast with the pale gray background. This arrangement evokes a feeling of lightness and movement, contrasting beautifully with the stability and intensity of the flame. Butterflies, often symbols of rebirth and freedom, enrich the composition of the work by introducing a dimension of life and dynamism. The carefully calculated spacing of these ethereal insects contributes to a gentle symmetry, giving an impression of delicate order within the apparent chaos. This piece stands out for its ability to marry opposing elements: the static power of the flame and the volatile grace of butterflies. The limited but strategic color palette heightens the visual impact of the work, while the crisp white frame draws and retains attention to the interior details. In sum, this artwork is a celebration of dualities – fire and air, stability and flight, depth and lightness – resulting in a vibrant and contemplative piece that invites deep reflection on the inherent contrasts to nature and existence.

Shelby is a British artist born in Gibraltar in 1987. He discovered the world of sculpture at a very early age in his father's marble sculptor's studio. At seventeen, this space became a veritable experimental ground for him: he explored materials and volumes through marble, wood, and plaster.
A few years later, he moved to Chelsea, an iconic London creative district. It was there that he discovered street art and pop art , two movements that would have a lasting influence on his world. Yet, it is the relief that remains at the heart of his approach—this search for a third dimension where matter seems to come to life.
To perfect his approach, Shelby enrolled at the prestigious New York Academy of Art, where he completed a two-year training program. This time spent in the United States reinforced his vocation and broadened his perspective on the international art scene.
A traveling artist, Shelby draws his inspiration from popular culture, cinema icons, superheroes and the great figures of the 1960s . His work revisits these mythical references with a resolutely contemporary, vibrant and colorful aesthetic.
His works, created primarily on metal or plexiglass, play on reflections, depth, and light. They are now exhibited in several galleries and major hotels throughout Europe and the United States, testifying to the growing recognition of an artist who brings together pop art, street art, and relief with audacity and modernity.
