Description
This strikingly original work is a striking reinterpretation of the classic gas can. Sporting a vibrant green, the can is completely revitalized by the addition of the iconic “Rolex" branding, underlined by the golden crown symbol, synonymous with opulence and refinement. The composition of the work is distinguished by its duality between the functional and the luxurious, transforming an everyday object into a bold piece of art. The gold splashes, irregularly scattered across the green surface, add visual dynamics and evoke a subtle allusion to the unexpected luxury in ordinary spaces. At the bottom of the can, the inscription “OFFICIAL RETAILER" in gold capital letters, gives the work an additional touch of authenticity while emphasizing the unlikely marriage of the raw and the sophisticated. The play of contrast between the industrial-looking materials and the symbols of fine watchmaking further enriches the perception of this object. This creation is not simply a diversion from the ordinary to the chic; It is a bold statement about the value of art in reinterpreting mundane objects into collectibles. A work that challenges, invites reflection and redefines the boundaries of contemporary art.
Presentation
In its workshop in Mougins, in the South of France, S2Bart works with the material. A former developer of competition vehicles, he has always had a taste for sharing, creation and perfection. This is how he naturally decides to escape into art to express himself. After numerous exchanges with sculptor painters, he dares and offers his work. Very quickly his work was selected in many galleries.
Influenced by Pop Art, he offers a range of colors in his works.
