Object Sculpture for Sale
Object sculpture holds a specific role within contemporary art. Descending both from sculptural tradition and the conceptual shifts of the twentieth century, it highlights the object as an autonomous artistic subject. By engaging with form and function, object sculpture examines the relationship between space, material and perception. It appears in varied styles, from pop art to animal figures, including minimalist or urban interpretations.
Today's artists use this medium to investigate themes ranging from everyday transformations to formal abstraction. Santicri develops mural object sculpture with an urban and offbeat register, while Koen Betjes introduces a conceptual perspective rooted in pop art. Sylvie Cappe focuses on animals and comics aesthetics, expanding object sculpture into a popular visual culture. Other contemporary creators also use this field to revisit traditional or diverted materials, emphasizing innovation within continuity.
Object sculpture attracts private collectors and institutions alike because it combines durability, visual strength and versatility. Installed in domestic interiors or public spaces, it operates as both identity marker and cultural asset. Exploring Artsper's curated selection of object sculpture offers the possibility to enrich a collection with a meaningful work that unites material presence and lasting artistic value.
