Description
Sculpture made by hand in solid oak, gilded with tempera and 23K gold mixing.
Lace in stained solid oak.
Transport in custom-made wooden crate.
This captivating sculpture stands out for its elegance and modernity. It features a teardrop-shaped structure, crafted with a harmonious combination of oak and gilded metal. The outer frame adds a touch of natural warmth, highlighting the contrast with the black-stained oak network inside. This geometric mesh is punctuated by small golden circular elements, providing a touch of originality and depth. The shadow cast on the wall plays a key role, creating a dynamic illusion that evolves with the light. This work of art succeeds in capturing the essence of the balance between tradition and innovation, while evoking a sense of movement suspended in time. A bold piece that catches the eye and provokes reflection.
Presentation
Landry Clément: Woodcarver - Leaf gilder A jeweler by training, Landry Clément worked for more than 22 years in the luxury sector. Following an accident at work, the artist had to retrain and to do so undertook a training course as a woodcarver and a gilder at the ESEA (Ecole Supérieur Ebénisterie d'Avignon). Since June 2015, Landry Clément's workshop has been installed in one of the most beautiful villages in Provence in the historic center of Pernes Les Fontaines.
Landry Clément's works are very contemporary, with harmonious shapes and sculpted surfaces. “I really like working with oak and chestnut because I don't stain the woods, I oxidize them, and it is these two species that have the best rendering" Landry Clément. Gold is also a very important material in the artist's work; the small golden touches on his works highlight the unique qualities of wood.
Landry Clément received the title of Master Artisan d'Art in 2024, the highest distinction for the crafts, for his exceptional know-how and the quality of his work.
