Description
No. 1 / 8 + 4 EA
This striking work features a blue teddy bear, meticulously sculpted to resemble a bursting balloon. Its glossy appearance inevitably draws the eye, evoking a fusion of modern art and childhood nostalgia. The bear holds a perfectly matching heart-shaped balloon, which appears to float delicately above it. The choice of a metallic finish accentuates the modernity and sophistication of the piece, while maintaining a playful atmosphere. Placed on a wooden base, this contrast between the natural materiality and the shine of the metal creates a captivating visual harmony. This art transcends the boundaries between sculpture and everyday object, encouraging the viewer to reconsider symbols of innocence through a contemporary lens.
Presentation
Born in the Val de Marne in 1992, Nicolas KRAUSS is a French visual artist, endowed with a creative spirit.
From an early age, the overly framed and formatted aspect of so-called "classical" studies have constrained the young artist to express his creativity in the fields he loves, so he reoriented himself towards one of his passions, the automobile; without ever forgetting his objective, that of being able to cross the limits of the imagination and make it a reality, that of being an artist.
In 2019, the desire to make his dream come true, he embarked on contemporary art with his first work, The Teddy Love.
