Description
This bronze sculpture, signed by Valérie Hadida, depicts two female figures, a mother and her daughter, sitting back to back, harmoniously merging in a serene pose. Their slender, textured bodies create a subtle interplay of shadow and light, enhancing their delicacy and sensitivity. The abundantly sculpted hair rises like waves of energy, bringing dynamism to the serene calm of the composition. The natural wooden pedestal elegantly contrasts with the coldness of the bronze, highlighting the sophistication and refinement of the piece. The interaction between the figures evokes a profound and timeless connection, symbolizing the invisible bonds of humanity. This work invites contemplation, stirring both emotion and reflection. A modern masterpiece that transcends the limits of traditional sculpture through its expressiveness and originality.
Presentation
Valérie Hadida is a contemporary French sculptor and painter, working mainly in bronze and clay.
Her "petites bonnes femmes"/ Little Women, are a poetic encounter meant to make us enter her universe, both feminine and timeless, and feel the emotions that these generations of women felt.
Trained at l'Ecole d'arts plastiques et publicité de la ville de Paris (EMSAT) and employed in the studio of Marielle Polska for 6 years, she has been exhibited in galleries since 1990.
