Description
This golden sculpture unfolds like a miniature architecture of light, a pile of pebbles transformed into precious metal. Each form, softened as if polished by centuries of water and wind, reveals a mirror-like surface where the reflections of the world glide. The surfaces, sometimes smooth, sometimes lightly hammered, capture and distort the light, making the work vibrate with a vibrant brilliance.
At the summit, a perfect sphere crowns this organic construction, like a suspended point of equilibrium, a held breath. It seems almost to levitate, balanced on the deliberate irregularities of the forms that support it.
The whole evokes a fragile harmony, a layering of opposing forces: softness and tension, stability and movement, weight and light. It is a sculpture that engages in a dialogue with its environment, that comes alive with the slightest shift in shadow, and that invites the viewer to contemplate the beauty of the unstable transformed into form.
Presentation
In each sculpture, Sagrasse places a fragment of humanity, an emotion kneaded into the material, like a breath that crosses time.
Born in 1966 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy, Sagrasse has dedicated his life to sculpture for over thirty years. Driven by a constant passion for material and form, he has developed an artistic language that is both contemporary and profoundly human.
His works are exhibited throughout the world, in galleries, private exhibitions, and spaces dedicated to art. This international career reflects a recognition acquired over time, driven by the sincerity and strength of his work.
Sagrasse's creations address contemporary and universal themes : ecology, social ideologies, and the relationship between man and his environment. His sculpture thus becomes a space for reflection, where consciousness and aesthetics, questioning and emotion intertwine.
