Description
Sculpture by French contemporary sculptor Chésade.
This bronze sculpture with green and gray patina is produced in limited edition (8 copies and IV artist's proofs). It is from the “marine animal" series. The sculpture represents a frog. Perhaps It is waiting for the kiss from the princess that ignored him?
Chésade's sculpture is part of the contemporary “expressionism" movement. Even if the realism of these artworks is striking, they carry a strong desire to express subjective feelings – the artist's or the animal's ones – rather than the desire to deceive the eye of the viewer.
These almost naturalist artworks convey an evident aesthetic attention: the bronze is polished with colorful and precious or subtle patinas.
