IIXV (small), 2025

Lieven D'Haese

A powerful presence that captures the exact moment before a leap into the unknown.

In IIXV, Lieven D’Haese gives form to a universal inner impulse — the desire to move forward, to rise, to embrace what lies ahead with openness and trust. The figure, arms wide and body leaning into space, seems suspended between earth and sky, between reflection and action. It is a moment we all recognize: that silent second where courage begins.

The title itself evokes the symbolism of two open hands — ten fingers extended toward the future — a gesture of both surrender and confidence. It is not only a sculpture of movement, but of intention: a step toward something greater, guided by instinct, hope, and an invisible sense of direction.

This work would be perfect for placing in an office, on a desk or a table, on a furniture to appreciate it directly and closely. You can touch it, look at his face and feel the breath of the wind as on the clothes. Whether placed a light-filled interior or beside a window, it creates a dialogue between stillness and elevation. The bronze surface captures light throughout the day, subtly transforming the sculpture’s presence and reinforcing the feeling of a living moment. It connects and live with our collectors and offers a postivie energy for each day.

Each edition is individually finished by the artist, making every piece unique in its final expression — a rare quality that brings the work even closer to a personal encounter.

More than a sculpture, is an invitation:
to trust the path ahead,
to reconnect with one’s inner impulse,
and to remember that every new beginning starts with a single movement forward.
