Description
The artwork features a pink heart with shimmering reflections, seemingly suspended and delicately embedded in a soft white surface, reminiscent of a sheet or gently pleated satin. The tension of the background creates an interplay of elegant folds that appear to converge towards the heart, as if drawn towards it, reinforcing its central and magnetic character.
The richly ornamented frame, a vibrant, almost baroque pink, envelops the scene with a precious intensity. It contrasts with the softness of the background and accentuates the sensual and emotional character of the composition.
The heart, both brilliant and reflective, captures light and reflects fragments of the world around it, blurring the line between the artwork and the viewer. Between tenderness and desire, restraint and surrender, the piece plays with the codes of iconic love to offer a contemporary interpretation that is at once pop, sculptural, and profoundly tactile.
Presentation
In each sculpture, Sagrasse places a fragment of humanity, an emotion kneaded into the material, like a breath that crosses time.
Born in 1966 in Macerata, in the Marche region of Italy, Sagrasse has dedicated his life to sculpture for over thirty years. Driven by a constant passion for material and form, he has developed an artistic language that is both contemporary and profoundly human.
His works are exhibited throughout the world, in galleries, private exhibitions, and spaces dedicated to art. This international career reflects a recognition acquired over time, driven by the sincerity and strength of his work.
Sagrasse's creations address contemporary and universal themes : ecology, social ideologies, and the relationship between man and his environment. His sculpture thus becomes a space for reflection, where consciousness and aesthetics, questioning and emotion intertwine.
