Description
This artwork presents a mesmerizing interplay between geometry and color, featuring a meticulously crafted blue and white design. A spherical object, adorned with intricate symbols and motifs, elegantly rests atop a grid of tiles. Each tile forms a repeated pattern of interlocking circles, evoking a sense of harmony and continuity. The contrast between the complex patterns on the sphere and the simpler geometric background creates a dynamic tension, capturing the viewer's attention. The harmonious balance of blue and white tones imbues the piece with a calming yet intriguing presence. The precision in the design and the seamless integration of different patterns exhibit a masterful blend of art and mathematics. This artwork challenges perceptions of space and form, inviting viewers to explore its depths and intricacies. Its unique composition and symbolic details make it a captivating visual experience.
The artist is inspired by the relationships between the past and the present, creating works that function as archaeological finds. His pieces, which include floors and toys, reconstruct a historical material legacy, evoking the elaborate tiles of ancient Bogotá. His work allows the viewer to remember and become aware of the loss of cultural heritage, thus maintaining historical continuity.
