Description
This stone sculpture embodies the harmony between nature and geometry. Each delicately stacked disc creates a visual rhythm that invites contemplation. I wanted to convey the fragile balance between stability and movement, so that this work would bring a soothing and intriguing energy to your outdoor space. It evokes both strength and lightness, a truly vibrant breath that inspires.
Sculpture composed of stacked stones of Chinese sandstone and Indonesian slate held together by a stainless steel rod on a slate base.
Delivery with installation available.
Presentation
Marc Mugnier was born in Dijon in 1969, he lives and works in Côte d'Or. He studied traditional sculpture by training in the studio of sculptor Guy, known as Guillaume, Frécon. His art then turns to architectural compositions that are deployed in the space "Dynamic and sensitive work (even multi-sensory), structured and often integrated into nature ... which oscillates between sculpture and installation." writes journalist Patrick Le Fur. Its horizon extends from the small to the monumental, particularly fond of stone, material of the earth and the universe. The art critic, Jean-Clarence Lambert, describes “Marc Mugnier as an artist of the material imagination… Art like Nature… Adding to Nature… Creating“ works ”that Nature has not thought of… Never has art been so close to the secrets of our little planet, for, rhythms and forms, to make them sing. In the open air. "His work is exhibited in France and abroad, in parks, galleries and salons such as Artcapital, at the Grand Palais, in Paris.
