Description
This striking sculpture depicts a well-known comic book character wearing a black top hat. Crafted from reflective metallic materials, the piece skillfully blends silver, red, gold, and bright blue. The character, seated with a relaxed demeanor, rests on a silver sphere that accentuates the playful aspect of the piece. The bold use of gold for the beak and feet immediately draws the eye, while the red coat lends a touch of majesty. The contrast between the gleaming metallic finishes and vibrant hues underscores the dynamism and elegance of the work. This sculpture commands attention with its bold and captivating presence, illustrating a seamless fusion of modern art and popular culture, while celebrating the iconic status of the character depicted.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
