Description
This resin sculpture revisits childhood with a contemporary gaze. The motif of a bear, a symbol of sweetness, becomes the support for a reflection on our society. The artist uses the codes of Pop Art and Street Art to explore the relationship with luxury.
The surface is covered with graphic patterns and prestigious logos. This contrast between the childlike form and the omnipresence of brands creates a visual tension. The work on textures suggests a subtle critique of consumption.
The object integrates perfectly into a modern interior. It dialogues with fashion and urban art. The precision of the details emphasizes rigorous technical mastery. This piece plays on the duality between innocence and materialism.
The glossy finish accentuates the relief of the gold and black patterns. The whole rests on a solid and stable structure. The sculpture presents fluid curves and a polished appearance.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
