T for Trust (s) - gold plated, 2026

Marc De Corte

Marc De Corte's "T for Trust" is a masterful celebration of surrender, trust, and inner openness. Through a gesture of remarkable formal simplicity, the artist transforms the human body into a universal symbol of faith in life, in others, and in oneself. The female figure extends her arms into space to form the letter "T," her chest exposed to the light, her head tilted toward the sky, in a posture of absolute trust.

The power of this work lies in the subtle balance it establishes between vulnerability and strength. The sensual elegance of the female body engages in a dialogue with the emotional courage expressed through this attitude of surrender. There is nothing here that suggests resistance or control; on the contrary, the figure surrenders completely. And it is precisely in this letting go that its true strength is born.

The purity of the lines, combined with the fluidity of movement, gives the sculpture an almost ethereal presence. Light delicately caresses each curve, revealing a vibrant interplay between shadow and light, softness and tension. From every angle, the work constantly renews itself, offering an experience that is at once intimate, liberating, and profoundly human.

Collectors are often moved by the immediate emotion this creation evokes. T for Trust is not merely a sculpture to contemplate; it becomes a daily presence, a silent reminder of inner freedom, embraced vulnerability, and profound serenity. Living alongside this work invites an atmosphere of calm confidence and refined contemporary elegance into one's surroundings.

Placed on a pedestal, a console, or at the heart of an architectural space bathed in natural light, the sculpture instantly elevates its surroundings. Despite its modest dimensions, it possesses a remarkable emotional presence and naturally establishes itself as a conversation piece within a collection.

It is the type of work that subtly transforms an interior — not through exuberance or spectacular effect, but through grace, the depth of its message and the intensity of its emotion.
