Description
The Lyon artist explores the paradoxes of our society through a child's perspective. This resin sculpture détourns the reassuring image of the teddy bear to question our relationship with symbols of success.
The sober gray of the material contrasts with the graphic codes of a prestigious car brand. The emblem and lettering integrate precisely onto the smooth body of the figurine.
The approach is in line with Pop Art and Street Art. The creator plays on the opposition between the softness of childhood and the rigor of luxury.
This contemporary piece becomes a mirror of our aspirations and our contradictions. The glossy finish accentuates the industrial dimension of the object.
The seated silhouette imposes a calm and stable presence on its support. Attention is paid to the detail of the logo applied to the torso.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
