Description
This aluminum and plexiglass wall sculpture plays with the codes of popular culture. The artist détourns global icons to question our relationship with consumption and social media.
The central motif, an open mouth, reveals a tongue with hybrid patterns. The American flag mixes with logos of contemporary brands and famous soup cans.
The work with materials brings an industrial shine. The plexiglass accentuates the depth and saturation of the colors.
The whole creates a dialogue between art and fashion. The three-dimensional construction transforms the graphic image into a tangible object.
This 2022 creation is part of the Pop Art legacy. It highlights the globalization of aesthetics and the omnipresence of commerce in our daily lives.
The contrast between the bright red of the lips and the deep blue of the flag structures the visual composition.
