Description
Cool blue geometric forms shimmer like fragments of ice. Created from wood, relief material, metal leaf, and patina, this contemporary artwork combines a solid architectural structure with unexpectedly soft-looking shapes. The surface is divided into nine rounded sections that resemble cushions, woven elements, or frozen blocks illuminated from within.
Glossy cobalt, ultramarine, and electric blue tones reflect the surrounding light, giving the artwork a changing character throughout the day. The color suggests the depth of the ocean and the endless space of the sky, while the sculptural surface invites a closer look. Beneath its polished appearance lies a quieter idea: even strong structures can change, and apparent strength may conceal tenderness, uncertainty, and emotional depth.
This original geometric relief is an expressive choice for a modern interior, minimalist living room, design-led office, luxury apartment, or coastal home. It works beautifully as contemporary wall decor and makes a memorable gift for an art collector, architect, designer, or admirer of sophisticated blue abstraction.
Presentation
Svetlana Iskoskikh is a contemporary artist whose practice explores memory, emotional resilience, and the quiet search for joy in everyday life. Trained as an architect, she earned her Master's degree from the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art, a background that deeply informs her sense of structure, balance, and spatial composition.
Svetlana works primarily in painting, developing a distinctive visual language that merges detailed realism with minimalist abstraction. This duality allows her to move between precision and openness: carefully rendered figurative elements coexist with simplified forms and restrained color fields, inviting viewers into an intimate dialogue with the work. Her paintings function as emotional landscapes—spaces where personal memory, inner stability, and collective experience intersect.
At the core of her practice lies an investigation into how color and narrative influence the viewer's emotional state. Svetlana approaches each canvas as a subtle psychological environment, offering moments of pause and reflection within an unstable world. Her works often evoke themes of vulnerability, tenderness, and quiet strength, encouraging audiences to reconnect with their own internal supports.
Svetlana Iskoskikh is a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia and a recipient of the Stella Virtuoso Prize in Painting. Her work has been presented at leading institutions including New Tretyakov Gallery, Victory Museum, and Zaryadye Media Center. She has held a solo exhibition in Moscow and participated in over 20 group exhibitions and international art fairs across Russia, Europe, Turkey.
Through a quiet yet emotionally charged aesthetic, Svetlana creates contemporary works that bridge architectural clarity with poetic introspection—offering collectors and viewers a deeply human experience of presence, memory, and hope.
