Description
This ceramic sculpture détourns a banal object to question our relationship with luxury. The balloon, a symbol of lightness and childhood, is frozen here in a durable and rigid material. The striking contrast between deep black and pure white highlights the graphic aspect of the piece.
The artist is inspired by the codes of fashion and Pop Art to create a dialogue between nostalgia and prestige. The emblematic motifs of a fashion house cover the surface, transforming the object into a totem of contemporary culture. This work explores the tension between the desire for immediate pleasure and the quest for social status.
The glossy and smooth finish accentuates the realism of the form while affirming its sculptural character. The work plays with reflections to energize the composition. It establishes itself as a strong decorative piece, mixing irony and elegance. This creation made in 2026 uses acrylic on ceramic to permanently fix these iconic symbols.
Presentation
MVR (Massimiliano Ventura Rigante) was born in Turin in 1991.
He has always been passionate about drawing and at these twenty years he began an artistic career. Mainly engaged in painting, his subjects are cartoonist and Disney comic book characters, which he skillfully mixes with the most iconic luxury brands. Continuous research which reveals how much the human soul always needs our childish side, made of dreams and pleasure, the same which, when we grow up, makes us desire "the good life". Currently its market is international.
