Description
Steve McQueen with a masked gaze is outlined against a saturated red background. His posture is relaxed, almost nonchalant. He holds a revolver with icy assurance. The contrast between the immaculate white of the clothes and the intensity of the background creates an immediate visual tension.
The support moves away from the traditional canvas. It is a wall sculpture using a Porsche 911 door. The technique combines the precision of acrylics and the spontaneity of spray paint. The whole is protected by a layer of resin and glass, bringing a deep gloss to the composition.
The style is within a cinematic aesthetic. The artist plays with the codes of popular imagery and cultural icons. Every line is thought out to evoke a narrative, a scene frozen in time. The graphic rendering recalls the work of stencils and graffiti, while maintaining a polished finish.
This 2026 creation transforms a metallic object into a narrative support. The play of light on the smooth surface accentuates the character's relief. The composition ends with a precise detail on the white shoe, anchoring the figure in a concrete space.
Presentation
Native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Edu Danesi lives and works in Paris. A few years after his graduation, from the city of Brussels school of photography, the photographer converted to painting.
Predominantly Self-taught, he works with several techniques such as painting, collage, drawing, graffiti and stencil on various media such as canvas, wood, metal, on body parts or simply the walls ... Edu believes "The importancy' is that the image speaks, she passes something, an emotion... "
He's been quoted as saying It is this mixture between the photographer's vision and work of the painter, with a touch of southern blood, giving the images a cocktail, full of colour, sensuality, poetry, provocation and positivity...
