Description
This composition mixes painting and collage to revisit an automotive myth. The image captures the rear of an iconic car with a raw approach. The background, composed of paper fragments and texts, brings an urban dimension.
The line is sharp. White dominates and contrasts with shades of black and red. Deliberate drips and spray paint traces highlight the influence of street art.
The artist plays with superposition. The white typography, traced quickly, comes to impose itself on the bodywork. This graphic gesture creates a dynamic visual rhythm.
The wooden support welcomes a mix of acrylic and mixed media techniques. The whole oscillates between photographic precision and the spontaneity of graffiti. The work ends with a fluid signature in the lower right corner.
Presentation
Native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Edu Danesi lives and works in Paris. A few years after his graduation, from the city of Brussels school of photography, the photographer converted to painting.
Predominantly Self-taught, he works with several techniques such as painting, collage, drawing, graffiti and stencil on various media such as canvas, wood, metal, on body parts or simply the walls ... Edu believes "The importancy' is that the image speaks, she passes something, an emotion... "
He's been quoted as saying It is this mixture between the photographer's vision and work of the painter, with a touch of southern blood, giving the images a cocktail, full of colour, sensuality, poetry, provocation and positivity...
A cocktail of full emotions.
