Biography
Yvan Genest explores an artistic process in which he spontaneously blends figurative elements and color combinations. He works mainly on portraits, giving free rein to his characters without having planned in advance the final result of his works. His artistic approach is comparable to that of a theatrical costume designer: he accompanies the ideas that emerge from his striking, luminous paintings, while maintaining the mystery surrounding the subject of his paintings.
