Biography
An artist not known among the general public but very popular among the great collectors, MaxB is an unclassifiable artist, not claiming to belong to any movement in particular. He was born in 1940 in Marseille and painted his first painting on used fabric at the age of ten. When he was only 14, he participated in the competence to enter the School of Fine Arts of Marseille.
His painting is filled with obsessive doodles, elusive symbols, faces, and geometric forms, that belong to the line of Jean-Michel Basquiat and to the Neo-Expressionist movement.
