Biography
Maurizio Bavutti is an Italian photographer based in Bologna. Maurizio's interest in photography began during his studies in cinema in Spain.
He returned home a year later and built a darkroom and started developing and printing his own work. After finishing his media studies, which he experimented in between Italy, Spain and England, he finally moved to London in 2006 where he decided to focus on photography, taking a postgraduate course in photography at the University of the Arts London.
After five years of training as a photographic assistant Maurizio began his career as a full-time photographer in 2012. A year later he moved to New York City where he lived and worked for several years. Recently Maurizio returned to Italy where he continue his artistic career working on his personal projects of portraits and landscapes of Emilia-Romagna, his native land.
