Biography
Peter Downsbrough was born in 1940 in New Brunswick (New Jersey). He lives and works mainly in Brussels.
His artistic career started in the late 1960s and his practice is in the lineage of minimalism. He trained to be an architect and has developed a strongly reduced visual vocabulary, which he uses to investigate the given space in a very personal and precise way. His material consists of letters and lines.
